Welcome to Chalet Ambiance, a superb chalet and apartment in the heart of Sainte Foy resort, one of the best kept secrets of the French Alps.

Unlike some larger resorts, Sainte Foy remains unspoilt, with lots of alpine charm and character, no lift queues, and uncrowded pistes. The skiing and snowboarding are excellent for all abilities, and lift passes are a bargain at 121 Euros for a week. Add to this a lovely chalet or apartment to stay in, conveniently located for the slopes and resort facilities, and you have the ideal combination for a great holiday in the French Alps.
Chalet Ambiance offers a high standard of accommodation, ideal for groups or families. It's excellent location in the heart of the Sainte Foy resort, and proximity to the slopes makes it the perfect base for your holiday. We offer the chalet and apartment on a fully catered basis throughout the season, and an optional self catered basis for off peak weeks in January and April.
In winter, the efficient and uncrowded lift system gives access to a large skiable area, where the snow remains in excellent condition due to the low number of visitors. Sainte Foy is famous for its superb off-piste, and the nearby resorts of Les Arcs, Val D'Isere, Tignes and La Rosiere all offer something different.
From La Rosiere it is possible to board or ski over to Italy and back in a day, and from the Italian side heli skiing is possible with amazing runs all the way back to Sainte Foy. Tignes has year round snow sure glacier skiing, and Val D'Isere has hundreds of km's of well groomed pistes. From Christmas 2003, Les Arcs will be linked to La Plagne, which creates one of the worlds most extensive ski areas.
In the evening, St Foy offers a selection of excellent restaurants, many serving regional Savoyarde specialities such as Fondue and Raclette. The apres ski includes a couple of bars, with live music several times a week, and if you still have the energy, Val D'Isere and Tignes have plenty of lively bars and clubs, such as The Underground Bar at Tignes Les Brevieres; and Dicks T Bar, Cafe Face and the Morris Pub in Val D'Isere.
In summer, Sainte Foy has much to offer. Whether your thing is relaxing walks through the forests and long lazy lunches in the sunshine, or extreme mountain biking and hiking, there is something to keep everyone happy.
Please take a look around our website, and we hope you will be tempted to come and experience all that Sainte Foy and Chalet Ambiance has to offer.

Extract from the Daily Telegraph, October 2002:
"Sainte-Foy is an unremarkable old hamlet that you drive through on the road up from Bourg-St-Maurice to Tignes and Val d'Isère. But just above it, reached by a side road, is a raw and exciting ski resort of the same name. The locals come to Sainte-Foy to enjoy untracked powder and to get away from the crowds at peak times. At present the lift system is limited but the piste map gives little indication of the volume and quality of skiing that can be accessed. Much of the base area has just been acquired by French luxury property developer MGM and the resort is undergoing a complete makeover. Neighbouring Val is quietly negotiating to buy the lifts. The Proximity of the Italian frontier makes it one of the only places in France where heli-skiing is allowed. Catch it now in all its unspoilt glory.
Snow cover very reliable. After a major storm it is the first resort in the region to re-open its lifts.
Don't miss two outstanding itineraries: the north face of Fogliettaz and the Couloir Dudu."
